General Questions
It is important to us that you look right and also feel comfortable. Modern hairpieces are designed to feel light and comfortable. We experiment with a variety of hair replacement units until we find the right one for you. A modern, state-of-the-art unit should allow you to forget it’s there.
Yes. We work hard to help you select a style and shade to suit you perfectly and integrate you back into your normal lifestyle. Modern hair and modacrylic fibre types are more convincing than ever.
Very secure. Partial hairpieces are secured in a number of ways: by semi-permanent bonding to your own hair; by using specialised small clips or by hypoallergenic tape. A full wig such as a Freedom Wig fits with vacuum to the scalp and is designed not to come off in any circumstances. Ready-to-wear wigs can be customised to fit and some of our wigs have patented non-slip bases that provide extra security.
This is a personal decision but many of our clients tell us they feel much more comfortable when they are open with their friends and family - and they don’t have to tell those little white lies…
You will be given full instructions when you see us. It’s quite simple and we supply written details so you don’t forget. We also sell the specialist shampoos and conditioners etc., you may need.
Yes, we have a full comprehensive repair and maintenance service.
Yes. Just like growing hair, hairpieces and wigs can be adversely affected by extreme weather and conditions. Use of the proper haircare products, which we offer, will minimise damage.

Men's Hair Replacement Questions
Four weeks on average - although some wearers return after three to five weeks. Durability also varies according to your type of skin and how active you are. We do recommend regular maintenance which is done either in our salon or at home (standard hairdressing charges apply).
This depends on the choice of system. For continuous wear, it is preferable to remove a certain amount of hair in the thinning area so that the replacement is properly integrated with your remaining hair.
It can be made for you in approximately 6 weeks. However, we sometimes prefer to undertake an ‘approval check’ where the base and colours which are returned from the factory are approved by you before the process begins. This action is often useful where there are difficult colours to match etc. If an approval check takes place, then a hair system is normally complete in 10 - 12 weeks.
If your choice is Cyberhair®, you should expect 18 - 24 months. Expect human hair to last around 9 - 12 months.
If it is designed properly, and accounts for a person’s age (e.g. age appropriate hair density), colouring and lifestyle, then a hair replacement should just look like a real head of hair. We also believe in educating and informing each wearer to get the best out of a hair replacement system. Wearers often find the most satisfying systems mirror their favourite or latest style.
