Custom-made Wigs

As expert wig-makers, we also design and create made-to-measure hairpieces especially for you. Customers can choose from partial or full hairpieces in either natural or synthetic hair to suit your ethnic origin. The end result is a new hairstyle that looks soft, luxurious and blends in perfectly.

Our hairpieces can be bonded using a number of durable, semi-permanent techniques, customised clips or hypoallergenic tape.

We are also one of the few UK suppliers able to offer state-of-the-art hairpieces from Freedom® Wigs.

Freedom® Wigs

A Freedom® wig is a revolutionary new product developed by Freedom® Wigs Ltd in New Zealand.  Made of 100% untreated natural human hair, a Freedom® wig cleverly uses suction technology that creates a vacuum between the scalp and the hairpiece.  This means the hairpiece will never accidentally dislodge.  Wearers can go swimming, play extreme physical sports and even ride in an open-top sports car.  It’s no coincidence the wig is called ‘Freedom’- in our experience, the product literally gives wearers the freedom to do anything.

What is the procedure?

Due to the high quality of Freedom® wigs, the manufacturing process takes three months or more.  The steps are as follows:

• a hair colour match is selected and a cast of your scalp is made
• the colour match, hairstyle details and cast are sent to New Zealand to be manufactured
• a cap mould is then created so that the final silicone cap fits perfectly
• to obtain a realistic look and parting, human hairs are inserted into the silicone cap 1,2 or 3 hairs at a time
• the individual’s new wig is returned and a customer fitting arranged
• the wig can be styled and highlighted according to your needs

The Freedom® wig can be repaired and normally lasts between 1-2 years.

Hair extensions

If you're looking for simple fashion extensions, we offer Hairaisers’ clip-on and wefted extensions in a multitude of shades. Great Lengths’ individually-bonded extensions are also available.  Find out more on our Hair Extensions page.

Men

There are several options available to men with hair loss.  Hair creams, such as COUVRé, are produced in a variety of hair colours and applied to small bald spots.  The result is instant as the scalp is completely covered and hair appears denser.  Similarly, sprays like MANE contain a combination of hairspray and coloured powder that can be applied to hair loss areas.  The coloured particles cover problem areas and stick to existing hair.  This results in thicker-looking hair.  Both creams and sprays are a quick solution for alopecia.

Ready-to-wear systems are available but we prefer to create hair replacement units that capture the ‘real’ you.  We offer units made of human hair, deluxe fibre hair or Cyberhair®, a highly-advanced hair system.

Cyberhair

Cyberhair® is one of the world’s most advanced hair systems for men and women.  Using advanced technology, it replicates the texture of human hair yet Cyberhair® is more durable and lighter than processed hair.  Thanks to the quality of its fibres, Cyberhair® reacts just like human hair when it’s wet.  It also has an in-built ‘style memory’ which means the hair system is easier to style than real hair.
